While on a Fulbright Fellowship in Jordan in 2010, I began making portraits of Iraqis living in Jordan. Often arriving in Jordan in harrowing circumstances, then facing strict rules that forbid them to work and dreaming of returning to their families, the Iraqis I met were isolated from Jordanian society. I am still working on this project and hope to return to continue it. |
